Just needed to get this off my chest. Thank You to the Miami Dolphins for getting rid of a big-headed diva idiot like Chad Johnson. Finally a team and coach that doesn't allow a jerk like this to run a franchise down. I think Chad needs a year to sit around like Terrell Owens and Randy Moss did and realize what they had before they acted like spoiled brat babies with a silver spoon in their mouths. It seems to be that both of them along with Braylon Edwards might have figured out that the NFL shield is bigger than them. I can only hopr the NFL owners will hold off on this clown and not sign him again. I bet he regrets saying in the first episode of hard knocks that he is "going to get arrested before the season starts" or a very close saying to that.

Well, the lockout has officially begun. Not that most of us sport smart people didn't see this coming like a steamroller. Lets just face the facts. Both groups are making unbelievable amounts of money. Both groups are unbelievably greedy. Most in the groups are nose in the air stuck up snobs. The NFLPA union should be destroyed. It doens't do anything except make DeMaurice Smith and his hired legal staff rich, just like any union in America does. The NFL owners should be ashamed of themselves too. The fans made them rich beyond belief. They have seat licenses so we ( the fans ) can park our asses in a seat for a game. We pay between $7 and $10 for a beer, pay $50 for a parking spot to go to a game, not including gas prices, hotel Bills, airfare, rental cars, food, ETC......... AND SO ON. I understand the reasoning behind this but can't figure out why both sides can't get along. They need each other equally. The owners need the players to fill their stadiums, the players need the owners to pay them to play football. Both need US to show up and watch the game. It's unfortunate that both sides forgot about US...................THE FANS.
I have no problem trying to get what you can in life, business, or whatever. If somebody would pay me 2,3, or 5 times what I make to do the same thing but for someone else, I'd go right away. But it's the NFL, the most popular game of them all. They are arguing over not just thousands, 10 thousands, 100 thousands, or millions of dollars.... but BILLIONS of DOLLARS.
I have an idea, how about taking all the billions of dollars and give it to our unemployment systems to give it to all of us that can't find a job.

Hey football fans, I need all of you to put on those thinking caps for a minute and go back about 5 years ago. Football was still played the same way except that having fun in the endzone with a bit of taunting was allowed and NOT frowned upon. Since then, the NFL has taken away showing up the QB after a crappy pass which was picked for 6 and high stepped into the end zone. Thenthey have this "defensless reciever" garbage to protect the WR from getting hit hard and force a fumble. They added a "defensless QB" penalty now to protect the QB too. It is very obvious to me that the NFL likes scoring and thats final. No more 10 to 9 games unless the teams suck and can't move the football down the field. James Harrison's hits against the Browns were VERY hard hits and the one on Josh Cribbs was a play at the line of scrimmage period. The other on Muhammad Massaquoi was also a very hard hit, but a legit one. Now he has a meeting with Roger Goddell about hits after the Sunday Night Game. Sorry, but the Drew Brees hit was also legit. He drove Drew Brees down due to the other blitzing player was already at his feet and Brees was scrambling away from Harrison and tripped over him while Harrison was in pursuit. But here comes the Sheriff to hand out another ticket to Harrison. WHY ? This is football damn it. Its a tough sport. That is why everyone doesn't play it. Please NFL, stop the craziness and let them play football the way it should be played. Helmet to helmet is one thing, but every hard bone jarring hit . Please.

It's been a while since I blogged or posted or whatever. But it's time the silence is lifted. All I have is 1 word for everyone...... WHAAAA !
Cry me a river people. I am sick of the media, and all the whiners out there playing the blame game. What Ben did in Georgia was plain as this... TRYING TO GET SOME ASS. We all did it when we were young. As far as being a roll model for kids, this is a joke. Parents should be the roll model for a kids. If you aren't, look in the mirror and figure it out. I get to see this first hand in my local paper with the suicide kid and the supposed bullying of her slutty self in South Hadley Ma. Blame everyone but the kid and her parents. Interesting, I was badgered and belittled in school like many of us were, but I didn't hang myself, cut my wrists, or shoot myself. WHY ? you ask, I was raised right to respect elders and respect myself. My mom is a single parent, so throw that one out the window too. Bottom line is this....
Raise your kids to respect their elders, respect themselves and realize what a dollar is. Have them look up to their parents as roll models, not athletes with all the money and fame. Common sense still goes a long way in this world, its just that we have forgotten how it works. Everyone is trying to lawyer up and get a quick dollar, instead of actually working for it. I'm glad I was raised the right way and I have common sense.

Boy, nobody can be happy with NASCAR's decisions. I was at the races in Atlanta and New Hampshire. For the record, this was Atlanta's second night race. It was also an excellent weekend for Atlanta with crowded seats that haven't been that way since they held the final race there. Unfortunately I believe that Atlanta will lose the spring race after next years non sellout of the first race next year. Hence the 3 day weekend date this year. Now to New Hampshire. This was actually exciting for a former boring funeral procession at 90 MPH. The double file restart is awesome for fans but must suck for drivers, but who cares about the drivers thoughts when WE pay for the seats. Finally with the closing laps and A.J. 's spin, NASCAR shouldn't have thrown the caution for the spin until the last minute. I want a green flag finish and not a green, white, checker with a wreck going into the first turn and then the race is done. A job well done to NASCAR. Also to the Dale Jr. fans out there, maybe Tony Eury Jr. was in Reutimann's car to cause Jr's problems. It has to be his fault. Stop building bars, doing commercials, running race teams, and such...... AND JUST DRIVE ONLY.
Great job to MARK Martin on the Win !
Great job to Juan Montoya for a great run.
A quality top ten for a very quiet Ryan Newman.
SEE YA !

I never knew to much of Sean Burnett as a pirate fan except that he has a promising young live arm. Also the pirate farm system wiped his arm out early in his career. He, as well as a handful of other felt the rath of arm troubles in the Pirate farm system. Jack Wilson spoke out earlier this year when the trading began. So did Ian Snell. I wonder how many more feel the same way. Sean Burnett spoke his mind and should recieve a very warm welcome by the 3000 fans in attendance when he and Nyger Morgan return to Pittsburgh this weekend. Only Ryan Doumit remains from a starting 9 in 2007. At least as a Pirate fan we know this, the Pirates are rebuilding again and have tore up this team completely. For the next 3 to 5 years, they can't use the excuse of rebuilding again. It's all about the money ! The media and national beat writers won't call out the Pirate brass. Sean Burnett did and should be applauded for it. The Pirates have a sports city waiting for the Bucco's to win. They have one of the best, if not the best, ballparks around. Why not try to win. If you are rebuilding a team, fill in a quality minor leaguer at EACH position. Not at the same one. We have 5 catcher and 4 first base prospects and 4 middle infielders. This story should be continued later when Doumit gets traded.

Thanks again to Pirate GM and owner for once again shipping players out of town.
I am so happy that our ownership is " rebuilding" in such great fashion. The list keeps growing from a team that I thought could be really close to a wild card team 2 years ago, and now to a AAA team. Jason Bay started it, Xavier Nady and Damaso Marte, Nate McClouth early this year, Nyger Morgan, Adam LaRoche, and now Jack Wilson. Freddy Sanchez should be next tomorrow. Matt Capps, John Grabow, Ryan Doumit, and Paul Maholm soon to come. What happened to Adam and Andy LaRoche playing together for years ? We had high rated outfielders before Bay got shipped out. Our bullpen had quality depth and the pitching staff looked promising.
So......What in the blue hell happened here ? Ronny Cedeno is a great fit with Ramon Vasquez to platoon off the bench. Jeff Clement is going to play where...... Catcher, NOPE ( Doumit ) First Base, NOPE ( Garrett Jones ). Go figure. The Pirates dumping salary because nobody shows up to watch them. GET SOME TALENT AND MAYBE WE WILL GO !!!!!!!!!!! I have an impressive bobblehead collection of other teams talent here fella's. Living in Massachusetts, I hoped Jack was coming here. I could see Bay, LaRoche, and Wilson and the Pirates screwed that up too.
YOU GUYS SUCK !

As I sit here ready for the first redneck holiday of the year, The Daytona 500. Good ol' NASCAR stepped into the dog crap again. They say stepping in that stuff is good luck, and NASCAR found it again. The twin 150's brought us Jeremy Mayfield and his team of put together unemployed crew guys. Tommy Baldwin and his team with Scott Riggs got in too. Even though these teams really have no chance to win unless the " BIG ONE " takes everyone out. It's still a good story. The economy sucks and the car makers are struggling to survive except for Toyota for now. Even the Daytona 500 couldn't sell out untill they dropped ticket prices to $55 bucks. Goodyear tires again pulling stunts of junky tires. My boy Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman going to more backup cars. Why can't NASCAR just allow Hoosier tires in the mix ? To hell with exclusive rights ! This is America, and because Sprint is a sponsor no cell phone companies can sponsor a car. Maybe Stewart-Haas should get Hoosier Tire to sponsor Newman's car for the other 8 races. That would help Tony's teams and piss off Badyear Tire and Rubber Co. My pick for Daytona is......
Jeff Gordon to win
Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Michael Waltrip, and Carl Edwards in no order in the top 5
